He is survived by: his children, Shannon Gipson (Shawna) of Alexis, IL and Johanna Petty (Joseph) of Tallahassee, FL; his grandson Nicholas Petty of Tallahassee, FL; and his siblings, Helen Black (Charles) of Columbia, Margie DeVault of Mexico and Michael Gipson (Bobbie) of Louisiana.
