She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Montgomery and Carrie Watts Montgomery; and her siblings, Paul, Jane, Kenneth and John.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Hanifen; her children, James Gregory "Greg" Hanifen (Patti), Christine Johnson (David) and Kathleen Gronauer (Cliff); her grandchildren, Carrie Sesterhenn (Mike), Emily DelSoldato (Jason), Andrew Gronauer (Tara), Amy Martens (Kevin), Anna Snyder-Kelly (Kevin) and Jane Snyder; her great grandchildren, Reece, Brett, Elaina, Hudson, Alyssa, Everett and Eleanor; and her sister-in-law Elaine Montgomery. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
