He was predeceased by: his father Howard L. Hinze,; his wife Patricia J. Offutt; and his mother Evelyn Hinze, Sr. (Rose). He is survived by: his children, Greg Hinze (Sasha) of Wellsville and Tori McCaw (Gary) of Montgomery City; his grandchildren, Deena Sledge (Joseph) of Chicago, Jessica Hinze of Hannibal, Tyler Jewell (Shanice) of Cedar Rapids, Andi Hinckle of Wellsville, Rachel Campoy (Brian) of Hillsboro and Rebecca McCaw of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his brother Gary Hinze (Sue) of Excelsior Springs. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
