He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Jackson, and Herbert Jackson, Sr.; his wife Jessie M. Jackson (Barnes); his sister Tereatha Richardson; his children, Christine Jones, Harry Williams and Tracy A. Jackson; and his siblings-in-law, Leroy Barnes, James Barnes, Ruthie Barnes and Darlene Davenport.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Cobbins and Barry Jackson; his grandchildren, Andre Cobbins, Breanne Cobbins (Baltimore MD), Ashley Jones, Christopher Jackson and Parker Jackson; his great grandchild Alana Jessie Marie Adams; his siblings, Arthur Jackson (Mexico), Gary Jackson (Columbia), Larry Jackson (Mexico), Lowell Jackson (Mexico), Ivan Jackson Cordova (Eula), Elaine Bell (Mexico), Jaclyn White (Richard), Carol Williams (Raymond), Alice Jackson (Mexico), Bobbette Jackson (Mexico), Maria Jackson (Columbia) and Rita Jackson (Mexico); and his siblings-in-law, Stanley Barnes (Mexico), Theodore Barnes (Clark), Gary Barnes (Columbia), Vickie Barnes Hargraves of Kansas City, MO and Vernitta Barnes of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
