She was predeceased by: her parents, H. H. Elam and Hilda Elam; her husband Ray; her siblings, Gertrude Watts, Helen Dickson, Louis Elam and Wilbur Elam; and her siblings-in-law, Edward Watts, Don Dickson, Madalon Elam and Ann Elam.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Hale (Jim) of Martinsburg, Linus Rothermich (Stephanie) of Auxvasse and Jim Rothermich (Brenda); her grandchildren, Lydia Hale-Sexton (Mathew), Gabriel Hale, Matthew Rothermich, Kathryn Rothermich, Stephanie Dunkin (Slade McElroy), Lacie (Trent), Jones (Dillon Jones) and Reggie Dunkin (Kaitlyn); her siblings, Martha Henderson (Don) and Phil Elam of Quincy, IL; and her siblings-in-law, Helen Rothermich, Sharlene Elam-Peterson, Don Henderson and Joe Rothermich.
