He was predeceased by: his mother Velma Hammett; and his sister Lois Ann Hoffman. He is survived by: his father Sylvester Hammett; his wife Judy Hammett; his daughters, Audrea (Audy), Waugh (Michael) of Forney and Marla Hammett of Crandall, Texas; his grandchildren, Aaron Pass, Haley Waugh (Katie), Tyler Gillenwater (Morgan), Trenna Gillenwater, Mckol Gray and Brynanda Langston; his great grandchildren, Lakelynn Pass and Preslee Gore; his siblings, Elizabeth Gregory, Garnell Ramsour (Bobby), Barbara Crane, Flossy Comia (Bud), Buddy Hammett (Ruth Ann), Donald Hammett (Betty) and Gary Hammett; and his goddaughters, Lindsey Wilmshorst-Allison and Kaylee Gieseker Omohundro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home (425 S Jefferson St, Mexico, MO 65265). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Funeral Arnold Funeral Home (425 S Jefferson St, Mexico, MO 65265).
