She was predeceased by: her husbands, Walter I. Ryan and Dr. Charles A. Strouse; her son Richard A. Ryan; her brothers, Raymond Vens and Marvin Vens; her siblings-in-law, Dr. William Strouse, Peggy Strouse, Verla Vens and Delores Vens; and her sons-in-law, Dr. James R. Houchens and Sherwin Baird (Sandy).

She is survived by: her children, Susan Baird of Republic, Steven Strouse (Laurie) of Ozark, Cynthia Uebele (Tim) of Colleyville, TX, Tom Strouse (Kay) of Sedalia, Sandra Baker (Todd) of Chesterfield and Mary Hawkins (Tom) of Arlington, TX; her brother George Vens of Bettendorf, IA; her sister-in-law Sue Vens of Phoenix, AZ; and her daughter-in-law Rheba Ryan. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Brendan Catholic School.
