He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Alexander and Rose Ella Cox (McReynolds); and his stepfather Frank Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Betty Louise Ragan; his sons, Kevin Cox (Shari) of Hale, MO and Kurtis Cox (Lori); his grandchildren, Chelsea Tedlock (Ethan), Cassie Graham (Zac), Ryan Emery (Michael) and Kaylie Walker (Austin); his brother Johnnie E. Cox (Ginger); his uncle Jess McReynolds Jr.; and his stepsiblings, Robert (JoAnn), Larry Holmes (Brenda) and Willa Johnson (Don). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
