He is survived by: his son Robert Paul "Rob" Shannan of Memphis; his grandchildren, Ben (Courtney Shannan) of Memphis and Claire Shannan (Will Minear) of Ashland, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Jackson Paul and Ella Michele; his sisters, Rita Hughes (Allen) of Keosauqua, Iowa, Kitty Meek (Ike) of Rome, Iowa, Ann Skaggs of Birmingham, Iowa and Jenny Smith (Roy) of Farmington, Iowa; his close friends, Lynn Monroe and Dannette Clatt; and also, Randy, Thelma Norton, Pat and Dianne Clifford. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
