With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Louise Burris of Meadville, Missouri, born in Milan, Missouri, who passed away on January 31, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. McCaughey and Anna Pauline McCaughey (Hope); her husband Roy Eugene "Gene" Burris; her daughter-in-law Lori Shiflett; her siblings, Della Holliday (Benton), Tommy McCaughey and Bobby McCaughey; her half-siblings, Harry, Hugh McCaughey and Lizzy Jane Dorman; and her brothers-in-law, Lylburn "Shorty" Dudley and Marty Frazier.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Shiflett (Dena) of Huntsville, James Shiflett of Meadville, Diane Long (Tyler) of Purdin and Chris Shiflett of Meadville; her stepdaughters, Ann Burris (Kathy) of Belton and Arla Beneke (Jeff) of Peculiar; her grandchildren, Nicole Shiflett of Meadville, Anthony Shiflett (Ashley) of Meadville, Natisha Shiflett of Meadville, Nicholas Shiflett (Tiffany) of Meadville, Natalie Jarboe (Will) of Meadville, Tauna Buckner (Adam) of Humphreys, Tamara Long (Mike Daniels) of Meadville, Shelby Shiflett of Meadville, April Shiflett (Bryce Passig) of Meadville and Jack Stockwell of Meadville; her great grandchildren, Alexis, Kase, Blakely, Gauge, Gavin Shiflett, Rylan, Aiden Jarboe, Montana, Grayson, Charlie Buckner, Bronson, Lawson, Kelson, Mason Daniels, Brydon, Paxton, Lucas Stanfield and Carter Passig; her siblings, Betty Dudley of Knoxville, Mary Carter (Raymond) of LaPlata, Larry McCaughey of Milan and Billy McCaughey (Theresa) of Milan; her sisters-in-law, Susie McCaughey of Oak Grove and Kathy Frazier of Milan; and also Jesse Benke. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
