She was predeceased by: her parents, Briggs Wilbur and Essex Eudora Sornberger (Young); her husband Jerald "Jerry" Hood; her sisters, Joy Sornberger and Betsy Sornberger; and her son-in-law Mike Reineke.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joy Leppin (Rex) of Meadville and Julie Reineke Sipe (Allen) of Overland Park, Kansas; her grandchildren, Ean Leppin (Leigha) of Wheeling, Elliott Leppin (Jessie) of Chillicothe, Peter Reineke of Kansas City and Andrew Reineke of Kansas City; her great grandchildren, Logan, Lily, Violet, Trixie, Ezra, Jonas, Sam, Poppy, Eli, Ethan, Seth, Iris and Rose Leppin; her sister Nancy Avirom of Kyle; and her children, Betsy Stockwell and David Avirom. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and extended family.
