It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence Joseph Bartz of Maywood, Missouri, born in Fairfield, Iowa, who passed away on February 23, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bartz and Etta Bartz (Doran); his wife Dorothy Rae Whitaker; his son-in-law Travis Mathes; and his siblings, Charles Bartz, Gin Kaylor, Mary Weikert, Sis Henson, Helen Sly, Donna Miller, Rete Helfrich, Darlene Bartz, Bob Bartz, Bill Bartz and Pete Bartz.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Bartz (Sherry) of Maywood, MO, Linda Routt (Randy) of Ewing, MO, Lavon Mathes of Maywood, MO, Sally Laws of Ewing, MO and Sandy Meany (Kevin) of Maywood, MO.; his grandchildren, Jimmy Mathes (Holly), Travis Mathes (Amanda Russell), Zack Mathes (Kaylynn), Bessie Goerlich, Jr. Routt (Nikki), Curtis Meany (Kendra), Jill Haubrich (Austin), Nikki Mitts (Chris), Jordan Bartz and Summer Bartz; his niece Jennie Johnston (Danny); and his siblings, Dort Waters, John Bartz Sr. and Janie Smith (Billy Joe). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Great River Honor Flight or to Community Loving Care Hospice in Bowling Green, MO.
