We bid farewell to Margaret S. Sutton of Matthews, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 29, 2025 at the age of 90. Margaret touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Franklin Cloys and Eula Rose Jackson-Seay; her husband George Marcus Sutton; her son Tommy Sutton; her siblings, Lonnie Seay, James Seay and Shirley Cloys; her sons-in-law, Tom Maddox and Brad Hurd; and her brother-in-law George Hatton.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Sutton of New Madrid, MO, Margie Maddox of Sikeston, MO, Mary Pearson (Jimmy) of Sikeston, MO and Pam Hurd of Mt. Juliet, TN; and her sister Orene Hatton of Paducah, KY. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ponder Funeral Home (1120 N Main St, Sikeston, MO 63801). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery (1001 W Murray Ln, Sikeston, MO 63801).
