He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wilmes and Gertrude Wilmes (Hiatt); his daughter Teri Redford; his grandson Joshua Redford; his siblings, Bernard Wilmes, Alfred Wilmes (Fran), Joseph Wilmes, Gerald Wilmes, Rita Stamps (Dean), Helen Joyce and Dolores Spire; and his brother-in-law Tom O'Connell.
He is survived by: his children, Randall Wilmes (Jessie), Martin Wilmes (Sandy), Kelly Wilmes (Sue), Jeffery Wilmes, Michael Wilmes (Christal), Gary Wilmes (Cheryl) and Diane Chesnut (Stan); his siblings, Raymond Wilmes (Roberta), Charles Wilmes, Phillip Wilmes (Karen), Thomas Wilmes (Sharon), Kenneth Wilmes (Marilyn), Geraldine Ulmer (Jack) and Pauline Bjournsrud; and his siblings-in-law, Cecelia Wilmes, Louise O'Connell, Donna Wilmes, Janet Wilmes, John Joyce and Paul Spire. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Mosaic Hospice.
