He was predeceased by: his adoptive parents, Elmer, Sara Holt (Stelter), John and Cora Stelter (Carter); his sister Mary Cochrane (Stelter); and his daughter Jennifer Valentine Bur (Holt).
He is survived by: his wife Donna Holt (Lawson); his son Clifton; his grandchildren, James, Justina Holt, Ryan Holt (Gabby Aviles), Julia, John Bartak and Logan Bur; his great grandchild Blakely Bartak; his nephew David Cochrane; and also, Jonathan Holt and Palmer Lawson.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests memorials be made to the Maryville Elks Lodge 760 Scholarship Fund or the First United Methodist Church.
