He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wilmes and Gertrude Wilmes; his spouse Fran Auffert (Brown) of Gregory's Catholic Church; his siblings, Bernard, Rita, Helen, Joe, Jerry and Delores; his siblings-in-law, Tom O'Connell, Dean Stamps, BJ Bjournsrud, Odelia Wilmes and Penny Wilmes; and his sons-in-law, Tim and Rick Noble.
He is survived by: his children, Marvin Wilmes (Lori) of Stanberry, Vincent Wilmes (Joan) of Stanberry, David Wilmes (Kelly) of Stanberry, Dean Wilmes (Tara) of Stanberry, Linda Noble of Stanberry, Roland Wilmes (Chantel) of Stanberry, Norbert Wilmes (Tammy), Nancy Wilmes and Karl Wilmes (Stephanie); his stepchildren, Bob Auffert (Kim), Greg Auffert (Stephanie), Tim Auffert (Tonia) and Rosalee Strom (Terry); his siblings, Colo of Maryville, Richard Wilmes (Darlene) of Maryville, Raymond Wilmes (Bert) of Maryville, Charles Wilmes (Louise) of Maryville, Phillip Wilmes (Karen) of Maryville, Thomas Wilmes (Sheri) of Maryville, Ken Wilmes (Marilyn) of Maryville, Geri Ulmer (Jack) and Pauline Bjournsrud; and his in-laws, John Joyce of St. Joseph, Paul Spire of Chapel Hill, Cecelia Wilmes of Maryville, Donna Wilmes of Maryville and Janet Wilmes of Maryville. He is also survived by 45 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
