We are sad to announce that on November 30, 2018, at the age of 89, Vera L. Zammito (Maryland Heights, Missouri), born in Granite City, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clifford Manes and Clara Mildred Manes; and her siblings, Shirley Sutton (Joe), Michael Manes, Melvin Manes, Sandra Depew (Ray) and Charles Manes.

She is survived by: her children, Christine Wilhelm (Steve), Nicholas Zammito (Laura) and Kathleen Lambert; her grandchildren, Alyssa Wilhelm, Matthew Wilhelm, Joshua Zammito (Adrienne), Deborah Porter (Vern), Krista Cooperman, Stephen Lambert, Ryan Lambert and Jason Lambert; her great grandchildren, Tyson Foder, Hunter Porter, Ryann Foder, Joshua Zammito Jr. and Percy Zammito; and her siblings, William C. Manes (Kathy), Sally Butler (Gene), Danny Manes (Karen), Judy Harmon (Pat) and Tari Alcorn (Mike).

She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary (Post 9934) where she helped with donations to honor our nation's veterans.
