With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James V Ponder of Maryland Heights, Missouri, who passed away on February 26, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Pauline A. Ponder; his sons, Mark Ponder (Renee) and David Ponder (Angela); his grandchildren, Morgan Lyle (Mike), Collin Ponder and Daniel Ponder; his great grandchildren, Macklin and Callum; and his sister Sue Dudak (Jerry).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ortmann-Stipanovich Funeral Home (12444 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Monica Church (12136 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141). A burial will be held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
