He was predeceased by: his father Robert Thomas Preis; his sister Phyllis Berry; his grandson Nathan Huffman; his great grandchild Harper Pillman; and also Selma Leonora Preis.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Preis; his children, Rory Preis (Peggy), Debra Gillespie (Davy), Mark Preis (Sue), Denny Preis (Tricia), Karen Preis, Julie Preis, Dianne Offerman (Charlie), Chris Preis (Connie), Bonnie Huffman (Kenny) and Richard Donald Preis II; and his brothers, Ronald Preis and Robert "Bobo" Preis (Carol). He is also survived by 26 Grandchildren, 32 Great-Grandchildren.
