He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Chambers, Sr. and Joyce Smith; and his brothers, Douglas Howard, Doyle Chambers and Wallace Chambers.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Shepard Chambers; his children, Connie Lee, Jessica Kyle (Clay), Theresa Elliott, Stacy Thompson (Jeffrey) and Larry Mounce; and his siblings, Charles Chambers, Jr. (Melissa), Nolan Chambers, Ted Smith (Diana) and Mary Lloyd (Darrell). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
