He was predeceased by: his parents, Chris Witthaus and Elda Witthaus (Krueger); his siblings, Pearl Wood, Albert Witthaus, Dorothy Hoeft, Wilbert Witthaus, Wesley Witthaus and Ruth Haddox; and his son-in-law Paul Feld.
He is survived by: his close friend Serena Meyer; his children, Terry Witthaus (Cynthia) of Washington, Angie Wood (Michael) of Hannibal and Kristi Feld of St. Peters; his grandchildren, Sonja Witthaus, Ansel Witthaus (Amy), Cyrus Witthaus (Amelia), Emily Piette (Matthew), Tyler Wood (Danielle) and Sarah Whorton (Chris); his great grandchild Christopher Whorton; and his sisters-in-law, Valje Fulton, Emogene Witthaus and Joan Witthaus. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the burial will be private.
