He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Gildehaus; his children, Christy Engemann (Kevin), Laura Baller (Martin), Lisa Glosemeyer (Jeff), Scott Meyer, Kurt Meyer (Tina), Tricia Kemper (Mark), Michael Meyer (Julie) and Elizabeth Mades (Jason); his grandchildren, Katie, Ryan, Lauren, Nathan, Alec, Gavin, Sam, Garrett, Carter, Jack, Bailey, Colin, Aaron, Wyatt, Jared, Josephine, Jennifer, Madelyn, Allie, Aubrey, Kolvy, Korbin, Ben and Nick; his siblings, Theodore Meyer (Rita), Mary Fischer (Hank), Judy Ruether (John), Rosie Carpenter (Chick), Jim Meyer (Alice), Bobby Meyer (Marsha), Leo Meyer (Myriam), Lenora "Tootie" Eagan (Maurice), Tommy Meyer (Dianne), Helen Kleekamp (Gary) and Rich Meyer (Aurie); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Hellebusch, Kenny Ackmann, Charlie Gildehaus (Gerry), Freddy Gildehaus (Celeste), Ralph Gildehaus (Kathy), Sandra Meyer, Gertie Hamlyn, Judy Derner (Jim) and Marybeth Gildehaus. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
