He was predeceased by: his spouse Vernell Stelzer; his parents, Elmer Stelzer and Geraldine Stelzer; his sons, Michael Stelzer and Joseph Stelzer; and his sibling Shirley Kalil.
He is survived by: his children, Pat Ameis (Fred), Linda S. Kuelker (Bill), Charles Stelzer (Terri), Judy Milner (Mark), John D. Stelzer (Colleen), Diana Ball (Norman), Richard F. Stelzer (Stephanie) and James D. Stelzer; and his siblings, Glen Stelzer (Anne) and Geraldine "Suzie" Sipp. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
