She was predeceased by: her parents, Harley Cook and Mildred Cook (Thomas); her former husband George Detherow; her husband Leonard Lakey; and her sister Helen Cantrell.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bob Cook (Ann), Martin Cook (Pam), Sharon Hunt, Judy Payne (Robert), Jane Dinwiddie (Michael) and Seymour; her brother-in-law Toney Cantrell; and her close friend Karen Brown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
