He was predeceased by: his parents, Sydney Nichols and Bertha Wolfe (Fosa); his daughter Wendy Girard; his stepfather Robert E. Wolfe; his grandson Joseph Morrell; and his brother Sydney "Skip" Nichols.
He is survived by: his children, Penny Fugate (Mark) and Thomas Nichols, Jr. (Starla) of Colcord, OK; his grandchildren, Colby Morrell, Trevor Nichols, Brook Morrell, Micah Girard, Faith Girard, Natasha Nichols, Maya Nichols and Breanne Fugate; his great grandchildren, Addison Epperson, Allia Epperson, Kade Nichols, Decca Brown, Breckon Miller and Gerald Nichols; his siblings, Raymond Nichols of East Hampton, CT, Betty McKinney of East Hampton, CT and Lynn Nichols of East Hampton, CT; and his close friends, Edie and George Dunbar.
