He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dwane and Helen Hillhouse (Southard); and his grandparents, Vivian, Neva Southard, Clay, Bessie Hillhouse, Remaining and Rose.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Burgess; and his brother David Hillhouse (Florence) of Competition, MO.. He is also survived by seven grandsons and 6 granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
