He is survived by: his parents, Herbert Lyell and Charleen Lyell (McFarlin); his wife Bobbie; his foster son Eli; his grandchildren, Jackson, Rylan, Tucker and Evelynn; and his siblings, Kimberly, Priscilla and Ronald. He is also survived by his family but his friends.
