He is survived by: his wife Joan Schwartz (Simmerman); his stepchildren, Ronnie Joe, Angie King, Grovespring, Chris King, Angela Cherry, Fordland, Tammy, David Shumake and Lamar; and his children, Amanda, Saloma, Sammy, Anna, Lydia, Mary, Maggie, Jacob, Katie, Fannie, Leah, Jonas, Amos and Ida. He is also survived by 193 grandchildren; 536 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
