It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Joe Mathis (Marshfield, Missouri), born in Niangua, Missouri, who passed away on July 14, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Mathis and Jewell Mathis (Alexander); his siblings, Dale Mathis, David Mathis, Mary Mathis, Lena Mathis and Virginia Graves; and his son-in-law Jim Lytle.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Mathis; and his children, Judy Lytle of Shallowater, TX, John Mathis (Debra) of Rogersville, MO and Joe Mathis (Becky) of Strafford, MO. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
