He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert Vogl and Lydia Mae George Vogl; and his siblings, Agnes Conrad, Terry and Robert L. "Bobby" Vogl.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Lee Shepard; his sons, Bill Vogl Jr. (Sandy) of Marshall and Lee Vogl (Martha) of Marshall; his grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Evan and Garrett; his great grandchildren, Amira and Abel; and his siblings, Tom Vogl of Marshall, Marilyn Harris of Marshall and John Vogl of Marshall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
