With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernie Sleeper (Marshall, Missouri), born in Sweet Springs, Missouri, who passed away on May 24, 2019 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernie Sleeper to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy A. Sleeper and Gladys Hunter Sleeper; his wife Dorothy L. Boyd; his son John Leroy Sleeper; and his siblings, Edna Mae Sleeper, Katherine I. Moore (Katie), Virginia Louise Dehn, Cecil Sleeper and Wayne Sleeper.

He is survived by: his son Bill Sleeper (Sue) of Marshall. He is also survived by six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Veterans Memory Walk of Honor in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
