She was predeceased by: her parents, James M. Adams and Mildred Strong Adams; her former spouse Emmet "Bub" Gilliam; her stepfather Glen Stephens; and her brothers, Joseph and James Adams.
She is survived by: her children, John Chapin (Beth) of Muscatine, IA, Tonya Chapin of Slater, Glenda Evans (Dwight) of Stafford, VA and Patrick Gilliam (Christina) of Apex, NC. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as a large extended family.
