He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Gerlt and Sadie Gerlt (Simmons); his son Mike Gerlt; his wife Phyllis Dunsmore; his brothers, John and Charlie; his granddaughter Nichole; and his stepgranddaughter Jodie.
He is survived by: his daughter Diane Morris (Dale); his stepchildren, Mark Jamison (Kathy), Denise Killman (Gene), Gary Jamison, Rhonda Alspaw and Kristin Villatoro Reyes (Jose); and his sisters, Virginia Phew and Glendola Sixtax. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home (226 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Ridge Park Cemetery (780 E Yerby St, Marshall, MO 65340).
