We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2024, at the age of 98, Major James L. Thompson of Marshall, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Longfellow Thompson; and his parents, Col. Lloyd Troxell and Jessie Evans Williams Troxell. He is survived by: his stepfather Col. Alexander; his family Jim; his children, Dr. James L. Thompson, Jr. (Kathy), Greig Evans Thompson (Deborah) and Mark Thompson (Stacey); and his sister Nancy Thompson Tipton of Centennial. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
