He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Baker and Lola Davis Baker; his wife Ida Bell Petty; and his siblings, Earl, Doris, Dorothy, Amos, Norman, Alva Baker, Mary Frain, Lillian Bryan, Ruth Herndon and Velma Bacon.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Cara Wisler (Robert), Tim Stone (Sarah), Joe Baldwin and Arti Dautenhahn (Stephanie); and his stepgrandchildren, Wally Dautenhahn and Wanda Dautenhahn. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
