He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Matterson Moore and Bettie Agnes VanBuskirk Moore; his stepfather Alfred "Dick" Moore; his sisters, Lavonne Miller and Winnifred Dillon; and his grandson Jeremiah Shanahan.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Joan Parcels Shanahan; his children, Jim Shanahan (Irina), Jeff Shanahan (Jackie), Jason Moore (SherryBeth) and Joan Blackburn (Rick); his grandchildren, Mathew, Eric, Emily (Alex), Jared, Kayleigh, Easton and Avery; his great grandchildren, Bentley and Waylon; and his sister Ernestine Cartee (Richard).
