He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Edward Gieringer Sr. and Edith Josephine Samson Gieringer; and his brother Chuck Gieringer. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Westhues; his children, Patty O'Connor (John) of Kansas City, MO, Edie Miller (Glenn II) of Marshall and Tim Gieringer (Morgan) of Denton, TX; his stepchildren, Eric Brandt (Laura) of Lee's Summit, MO, Chris Brandt (Racheall) of Marshall and Becky Fann (Jason) of Marshall; and his siblings, Ken Gieringer of Marshall, Paul Gieringer of Marshall, Martha Sturm of Onalaska, WI and Mary Vaughn of Plano, TX. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
