He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Franklin Turner and Mildred Irene Clause Turner; and his stepson Jeff Lindemann. He is survived by: his wife Elva Faye Charles Lindemann; his children, Lori Mills (Brian) of Harrisonville and Edward Turner (Stephanie) of Independence; his grandchildren, Abby, Jordan, Noah, Isaac, Miranda, Madison and Macy; his stepchildren, Barbara Knight (Paul) of Oak Grove, Susie Summers (Brad) of Holden and Russ Lindemann; and his stepgrandchildren, Lindsey, Kelley, Rob, Zak and Nichi. He is also survived by eight step-great-grandchildren.
