She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harrison Alexander and Nellie Frances Walk Alexander; her husband William R. "Bill" Pointer; and her son Gary R. Pointer (Lyle). She is survived by: her son Larry D. Pointer (Marva) of Miami; her grandchildren, Jason Pointer (Cari), Angela Pointer, Melissa Pointer, Jillian Pointer and Andrew Pointer (Chelsea); and her great grandchildren, Cade, Kelar and Oliver Pointer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Memorials are suggested to New Salem Baptist Church or Miller's Chapel Cemetery.
