He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil A. Land Sr. and Lola Mae Brookshire Land; his wife Karen Gale "Kate" Drake; and his siblings, Mary Lee Wright, Faye White, Barbara Phillips, Margaret Land, Charles Land and Virgil A. Land Jr..
He is survived by: his son Tommy Land of Marshall; his stepson Donald Triebsch of Marshall; his grandchildren, Jackie Stockman, Robert Triebsch, Lindsey Triebsch, Michael Triebsch and Kaitlin Land; his great grandchildren, Andalyn Finley, Cali Stockman and Jaxon Stockman; and his siblings, Glen Land of Miami, Connie Stout of Michigan City, IN, Helen Rader of Marshall, Bobby Land of Carrollton and Eldon Land of Carrollton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
