He was predeceased by: his sons, Eric Lamkin and David Cowan. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Gorrill; his sons, Scott Lamkin of Lawrence, KS, Calvin Lamkin of Farmersville, TX and Peter Lamkin of Fairfax, CA; and his brother Richard. He is also survived by five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 1997 and died in 2001.
