He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ernest Newton and Ethel Agnes Shull Newton; his daughter Lynne Harper; and his son-in-law Chris Harper. He is survived by: his wife Debra J. Leimkuehler Gunn; his children, Robin Heinzler (Jim), Kimberly Harris (Howard) of Marshall and Timothy Gunn (Malinda) of Springfield, MO; his grandchildren, Hayley West (David), Stephanie Heinzler, Canaan Heinzler (Brooke), Amber Sadewhite, Ryan Harper (Sarah), Nick Harper, Jared Harris (Ally), Haley Harris (Tristen Phillips), Caleb Harris (Sarah), Lauren Gunn, Sarah Gunn and Emily Gunn; and his sister Joyce George of Marshall. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
