He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wilbur Brooks Sr. and Lucille McDonell Brooks; and his siblings, Linda Darlene McMellen and Ronnie "Gabby" Brooks. He is survived by: his son Dustin Brooks (Kathy) of Marshall; and his brothers, Joe Brooks Jr. of Marshall and James "Chinaman" Brooks of Marshall. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Gardens Cemetery (1801 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340).
