He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton A. Pointer Sr. and Eva Lillian Bakert Pointer; his wife Vivian Leigh Alsbrooks; his son Russell Pointer; his stepmother Hazel Moore Alsbrooks; his brother Larry Dean Pointer; and his nephew Casey Pointer.
He is survived by: his children, Christy Ann England (Chris) of Marshall and Clifton A. Pointer III (Risa) of Dover, DE; his grandchildren, Robbie (Liz), Shelby, Connor England, Eric (Cheyenne), Ashleigh and Ryan Pointer; his great grandchildren, Raegen, Avery England and Lucas Pointer; and his siblings, Jerry Dale Pointer of Raymore, MO, Joyce Dunsmore of Holden, MO and Angel Dawn Tighe of McAllister, OK. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
