It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Swisher of Marshall, Missouri, who passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Swisher to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wellington M. Westbrook and Marie J. Westbrook; her husband Charles H. Swisher of Marshall; her sister Mary Margaret; her brother-in-law Robert L. Hoy; her nephew Robert L. Hoy Jr. of Atlanta; her brother Shady; her sister-in-law Shirley Westbrook of Seattle; and her son-in-law Nicholas Meyers of New York City.
She is survived by: her children, John C. Swisher of Marshall and Sally Swisher [Meyers] of Marshall; her grandchildren, Rebekkah Swisher [Marshall], Maria Swisher, Ian Swisher, Gabriel Meyers of Los Angeles, Ada Meyers and Charlotte Meyers of Provincetown, MA; and her great grandchildren, Franklin and Ella Marshall. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorials are suggested to Covenant Presbyterian Church, Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra, or Saline County Democrat Club.
