It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Newell (Marshall, Missouri), born in Miami, Missouri, who passed away on August 31, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Lucille Ford; her husband Charles Louis "Eddie" Newell Jr.; her former husband Warren Wesley Garrett; her stepfather John Skinner; her sons, Warren Wesley Garrett and Ronnie Earl Garrett; her granddaughter Alexandra Garrett; her great grandchild Kaitlynn Gaage; and her sisters, Carol Skinner, Ruth Simmons and Paulette Fyock.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce W. Garrett (Cheryl) of Grain Valley, Jimmie D. Garrett of Lincoln, Gary Dean Garrett (Swietlana), Sherry L. Evans of Marshall, Ricky L. Garrett of Knob Noster, Tammy L. Smith of Grain Valley, David Leroy Smith (Sandy) and Edward Luther Newell of Marshall; and her siblings, Burnice Underwood of Concordia, Larry Wayne Skinner of Stover and Harold Wesley Skinner of Marshall. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
