It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Louise Smith of Marshall, Missouri, who passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Hartley and Lula Lois McFall Hartley; her husband Emmett Lee Smith; her son Randall; and her siblings, Ruby Lassa, Ruth Jacobs, Rhea Morgan, Tommie Weaver, Georgie Hall, Mary Moore, Billy Hartley and Fred Hartley.

She is survived by: her children, Gary (Susan), Carol (Al) and Sharon (Paul); her daughter-in-law Pam; her grandchildren, Torrie (James), Tyler (Lauren), Chad (Maria), Ashlynn (Drew), Caleb (Laura), Cole and Leah; her great grandchildren, Clayton, Sarah, Sophia, Emma, Ella, Jack, Finn, Emmy and Abigail; and her sister June Sargent of Center, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Pisgah Cemetery, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or charity of donor's choice.
