She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Percival Nichols and Bessie Mae Powers Nichols; her husband James Joseph Claggett; and her siblings, Guy Percival Nichols Jr., Robert L. "Lindy" Nichols, Percy Nichols, James Nichols, Marie Long, Maxine Riley, Thelma Gann, Ruth Slee, Elizabeth Vesser and Martha Sue Frakes.
She is survived by: her sons, William Joseph Claggett of Marshall and James R. "Rusty" Claggett of Marshall. She is also survived by four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Campbell-Lewis Chapel (226 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340). A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Sunset Gardens Cemetery (1801 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340).
