He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hulvey and Lela Hulvey (Swafford); and his sisters, Barbara Hulvey and Sherry Ackman. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his sons, Edward Shane Hulvey and Alex Hulvey; his siblings, Phillip Hulvey, Greg Hulvey, Ruth Bunting and Marge Lawless; and his grandchildren, Bryce, Blaire, Chloe, Bailey and Ava.
