He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Anderson; his sons, Steve Schmitt (Pauline) of Albuquerque, Matt Schmitt (Amanda) of Stewartsville and Chris Schmitt (Jenni) of Blue Springs, Missouri; and his stepchildren, Cheryl Cole (Keith) of Cassville, Debbie Clapsaddle (Don) of Chanute, Cindy Rohden (Tim) of Clever, Gregg Yockey (Kandi) of Cassville, Vicki Leonard (David) of Purdy and Kelly Cornell of Cassville. He is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; 28 step great-grandchildren and four step great-great grandchildren.
